Short Bio

Gianpiero Costantino got his bachelor degree in 2005 and the master degree in 2007 at University of Catania. From November 2007 to March 2011 he was Ph.D. student at University of Catania and he conducted his studies on Trust, Collaboration and Power-Saving within Mobile Ad hoc networks. From January 2010 to April 2010, Dr. Costantino visited the Computer Laboratory at the University of Cambridge (UK) as Ph.D. visiting student supervised by Prof. Jon Crowcroft. From January 2011 to August 2015, he was Post Doc. Researcher at the Institute of Informatics and Telematics of the Italian National Research Council (CNR) within the Security group. Since September 2015 he is a Researcher at IIT-CNR and his research involves Security and Privacy aspects within Automotive, Opportunist Networks, Fog and Cloud Computing, IoT and also he works on new business model for Social Web Services.
In 2013 he worked for the European ICT Labs project - Trust in the Cloud. From 2013 to 2015 he has provided his experience in Trust, Security and Privacy techniques for the Secure! project. In 2015, Dr. Gianpiero Costantino has been also involved in the FP7 Coco Cloud project to provide his expertise in the Work Package 4. Also, he has been elected to manage the cloud hardware architecture for the Coco Cloud project ---WP6---. In 2015. Dr. Gianpiero Costantino has been responsible for the cloud infrastructure of the EIT ICT Labs project HC@WORKS.

Other skills

Programming languages are also part of my skills. I can code using JAVA, C, C++, Python, HTML, PHP, JavaScript, TCL, OTCL, Unix Script. I have practical skills in SQL and DBMS like MySQL and PostgreSQL. I have a strong knowledge on Apache Server and Apache TomCat, and how to configure and manages servers using VMware vSphere Esxi and VMware Esxi Client software.
